Associate
Samir is an Associate in the Commercial, Spend and Impact team. He is interested in how governments adopt and regulate emerging technology while ensuring innovation in public service delivery maintains focus on the people who rely on it. Samir holds an MPA in economic policy from the London School of Economics, where he delivered a capstone project for the Financial Conduct Authority on how regulation can build trust in open finance. Prior to joining PUBLIC, he worked in policy and governance at the Canadian Bar Association’s British Columbia Branch, drafting research briefs and consultation responses on issues affecting the legal profession, including digital transformation of court services.
On several occasions, Samir had to narrowly out-paddle a group of sea lions who were chasing him during kayak trips on Canada’s west coast.
