Senior Associate
Zara is a Senior Associate at PUBLIC, where she leads international open innovation programmes connecting governments with startups to address public-sector challenges, including digital transformation, housing, health, and trade. She is responsible for designing and delivering programmes end-to-end, managing stakeholder engagement, piloting and scaling solutions, and generating measurable impact for citizens through improved service delivery, efficiency, and engagement. Her work spans PUBLIC’s Government Challenges, Innovation Strategy, and Open Innovation Programmes teams.
Prior to joining PUBLIC, Zara completed a Master of Arts in International Relations and International Law at the University of Edinburgh, where she also served as a Trustee of the Edinburgh University Students’ Association. She has experience in research and innovation initiatives across the technology and legal sectors, including leading research on the Indian Uniform Civil Code for Lawyers Without Borders, and supporting innovation programmes at London Tech Futures.
