Leading Innovation at Scale

Scaling innovation takes more than good ideas. It takes systems, leadership and deliberate methods for navigating complexity. This five-day intensive course is designed for those leading innovation portfolios, programmes or departments – people tasked with making strategic decisions, supporting multiple projects, and building environments where innovation can take root.

Grounded in the principles of ISO 56001 – the emerging international standard for innovation systems – the course translates theory into practice. Over five full-time days, you’ll work in a cohort with peers to explore how to assess feasibility, manage uncertainty, and make confident stop/go decisions based on clear evidence. You’ll learn how to synthesise insight across projects, align innovation with organisational goals, and build a culture where new ideas can flourish without losing focus.

The teaching is highly interactive and practical, with space to apply tools to your own context and test ideas in collaboration with others. Participants often highlight how the course brings structure to a space that can feel ambiguous – and provides a clear framework for action.

Whether you're overseeing transformation, supporting frontline improvements, or running an innovation lab, this course equips you to manage innovation with intent – and lead it with clarity.
