That’s why earlier this year, we launched our new monthly interview series, the Inside GovTech Spotlight, to shine a light on exciting companies that are making a difference to public services through technology; to share their success stories and advice, offer civil servants new ideas on how to tackle complex problems, and encourage other innovators to consider their solution’s potential to address crucial public sector challenges.
Check out a roundup of our interview carousels at the links below:
Our first interview was with Oleksandr Iefremov, CEO of Kitsoft, a Ukrainian GovTech scale-up developing digital services for government and business, including Diia - the Ukrainian state digital portal, used by over 20 million citizens.
Their solution makes it easy for municipalities and public sector agencies to launch new, integrated and scalable services, and enables citizens to manage digital documents all securely.
Next up was Arthur Alba, CEO of StreetCo, a French startup with a mission to make mobility accessible to everyone, and winner of the 2024 GovTech Connect Boot Camps supported by the European Commission.
With their inclusivity-focused GPS solution, they show accessible routes adapted to the mobility needs of users with disabilities, injuries, and senior citizens. They work with cities to help them develop simple, safe and autonomous pedestrian mobility.
We were later joined by Wietse Van Ransbeeck, CEO and Co-Founder of Go Vocal (formerly CitizenLab), a Belgian scale-up tackling one of public service’s biggest challenges: meaningful citizen participation.
With their digital community engagement platform, Go Vocal empowers local governments to make decision-making more inclusive, participatory, and responsive. By consolidating public input in one place, they’re building lasting trust and driving real-world impact.
Most recently we spoke with Oleksii Opanasenko from Prozorro.Sale - the Ukrainian digital auction platform transforming how public assets are sold and leased, with an aim to restore trust in public institutions through radical transparency.
Its open-source, hybrid public-private model powers a corruption-resistant system that has raised $3.5B+, connected 40+ marketplaces, and now has its sights set on international expansion - including into the UK.
